Community Involvement:
–IBefore the recent crisis in Sweida, my participation had been limited — not due to a lack of interest, but because I felt that my voice or contribution wouldn’t make a difference. That changed completely after the heartbreaking events in Sweida. Like so many others, I felt a deep responsibility to defend our people by every means available— even if it meant simply sharing a post or responding to false accusations against them.
Given my legal background, I also took steps to report offensive content and individuals based in Canada who were spreading harmful and misleading information about our community.

Why do you want to join the board?

These days we truly felt how important our community is in Canada — not just for emotional support, but for standing together in every way. Strengthening our Druze community will benefit future generations, both in Canada and back home in Sweida. I believe it’s my duty to contribute in any way I can. Whether through organized efforts, advocacy, or simply showing up and offering support.s

What you hope to achieve if elected:

My main goal is to help provide urgent and meaningful support to Sweida and Our Community by:

1- Establishing coordination teams in both Canada and Sweida to address the immediate needs of displaced families, including housing and essential supplies.

2- Ensuring accountability and effectiveness by appointing dedicated team members with clear oversight.

3- Developing sustainable solutions by planning long-term access to clean water and electricity, starting with hospitals and clinics.

4- Supporting displaced students by connecting them with civil organizations and scholarship opportunities, and by creating a broader education support plan for all ages.

5- Preparing for winter by coordinating early to secure heating solutions and necessary resources before the cold season begins.

6- Providing legal support as a licensed paralegal in Ontario to help newcomers navigate the Canadian legal system within my scope of practice.

7- Strengthening our outreach to ensure families know they are not alone and that help is available.

8- Ensuring transparency in all our operations, decision-making, and resource allocation.

9- Creating new resources to generate more income to the community.
